Conference meeting under way
Sitting here in another conference organising committee meeting. Nicholas is describing his sector file tool presentation and we have been given the opportunity to meet Cathy from VATEUD. Many exciting agenda items have been discussed.

Welcome to the W14 blog
Welcome to the W14 blog. Here, you will find some “behind the scenes” info on the progress of W14, useful information about Vienna & Austria in general and updates on the conference programme.
Apart from written information, we will post videos and pictures here as they become available.
The preliminary work on the conference has been completed. We have a conference site (The Stage, www.the-stage.at), a dinner site (Kolarik’s Luftburg, http://www.kolarik.at/inhalt.php?kat=2&start=1) and a general master plan concerning catering, transportation and a rough schedule for work force needed. The list of speakers is growing, and all of us are eager to see lots of people from all over the world attending!
Having said that, we got questions like “what will be the ideal date for getting my ticket?”. Generally, as tickets are limited, we do encourage all of you to get your tickets as early as possible. There is no way we can guarantee that the ticket supply will last until December. Please also keep in mind that VATSIM does not have any own financial resources to pre-finance anything at all. Everybody buying a ticket in advance helps to make the conference preparations as smooth as possible.
Same goes for the accommodation options: You may book your own accommodation of course via your preferred website. We have blocked rooms in four hotels across the city, from first class to budget. Prices start at as little as 25 EUR per person and night in a twin room!
